Grammy Award Winners 2023:

Following an HBO Documentary about recording a live record at the United States/Mexico border, "Fandango at the Wall in New York" won Best Latin Jazz Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.
The album highlights "Son Jarocho," a style of folk music that combines African, Indigenous, and Spanish instrumentals.

Emilio Solla's latest album "Puertos" was recently released and has already received 5 Stars* from the acclaimed Downbeat reveiw.
His arrangement & composition "La Novena" was also nominated for a Grammy this year.

In 2018, Alejandro performed with the Maria Schneider Orchestra at Princeton University and the Elmhurst Jazz Festival in Chicago.
This October, Alejandro returns with the band for the Cork Jazz Festival held in Ireland.
Grammy & Latin Grammy Award Winners 2016:
In 2015, Alejandro had the rare opportunity to travel to Cuba and perform in the Havana Jazz Festival with the “Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra” led by pianist Arturo O’Farrill.
While in Cuba, the band recorded the album "Cuba: The Conversation Continues" which features the collaboration of both contemporary composers and musicians from both Cuba and the United States.
In 2016, the orchestra received a Latin Grammy for the album as well as a Grammy Award for best instrumental composition for large ensemble with “The Afro-Latin Jazz Suite” featuring Rudresh Mahanthappa.
